Al Mualim Assassins Creed

Top 10 Villains In The Assassin’s Creed Games

Introduction:

A good story, most often than not, has a good villain going with it or, better yet, a horrible villain that is just so well written that they become unforgettable! There are a lot of villains and antagonists in the Assassin’s Creed series but, it goes without saying, some definitely stand out a lot more than others! Here is our list of the top 10 villains in the Assassin’s Creed games!

Ahmet in Assassin’s Creed: Revelations

Starting off at number 10 is Ahmet in Assassin’s Creed: Revelations!

Yes, we all know that this was definitely not one of the best entries in the series in terms of story but, regardless, it still had its moments worthy of mention and, a villain that was pretty hard to love as well! Ahmet wanted to rise to the throne so, naturally, he decided to gather some rebels in order to make things go a bit faster and easier as well! He is a villain not just for his actions but for the undeniable hunger of power that he has throughout the game!

Cesare Borgia in Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood

At number 9 is Cesare Borgia in Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood!

This isn’t the kind of villain that is so evil and so cruel that we can’t help but love him but, instead, he is the kind of villain that is so annoying and so cowardly that, when we finally get to take him out, it is as satisfying as a hot coffee in a cold winter morning! Besides all the whining he does and the fact that he is a spoiled brat, he also has no morals at all, killing his own father just because he didn’t get what he wanted!

Maxwell Roth in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

At number 8 is Maxwell Roth in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate!

This was a villain that beautifully incorporates madness into his very core! He is absolutely insane and he does not hide it but, apart from that, he’s kind of a genius, making it seem like he never plans anything until, of course, we realize that Roth betrayed Jacob, showing that he definitely knows what he’s doing.

François Thomas Germain in Assassin’s Creed Unity

At number 7 is François Thomas Germain in Assassin’s Creed Unity!

This guy is ruthless and will go to the end of the world to get what he wants! He is actually so cruel and manic that he was exiled from the order of the templars, of all places, so that should tell you something! He is definitely a radical that only wants to control mankind as a whole so, naturally, that is not really a good combination, to be a crazy man that wants to control the world!

Starrick in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

At number 6 is Starrick in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate!

Speaking of controlling the world, Starrick makes his mission known right from the beginning, with his line of “whoever controls London, controls the world” lingering throughout the entire game as he plots everything in the background. Sure, we may not see that much of him throughout the game (seeing that he is the one pulling the strings and prefers to stay away from the action) but, the little that we saw was enough to make him a very memorable villain in the Assassin’s Creed franchise!

Julius Caesar in Assassin’s Creed Origins

At number 5 is Julius Caesar in Assassin’s Creed Origins!

This was a great entry in the series that really brought the Assassin’s Creed name back to the spotlight! Not only is the main character fantastic and full of raw emotion that really sends shivers down our spines but we also get to team up with Cleopatra to stop the Order Of The Ancients, which are looking to control the world! We eventually find out that the one behind the order is none other than Julius Caesar, which was just insanely awesome to see this historical figure recreated in a videogame.

Doctor Warren Vidic in Assassin’s Creed 1 to 3

At number 4 is Doctor Warren Vidic in Assassin’s Creed 1 to 3!

This was the villain of the modern-day sequences of the series. He was the director of the animus project, obviously working for Abstergo and of course, a member of the Templars. Could this guy be any worse?

Rodrigo Borgia in Assassin’s Creed II

At number 3 is Rodrigo Borgia in Assassin’s Creed II!

Not only does Rodrigo believes he is a holy prophet sent by god himself but, he’s also the one responsible for the deaths of Ezio’s brothers and father! This is definitely a pope that rose to power just to get even more power and, in a pursuit to find god, believing to be the chosen one.

Haytham Kenway in Assassin’s Creed III

At number 2 is Haytham Kenway in Assassin’s Creed III!

It’s very hard not to be fond of Haytham. He’s charming, he always keeps his cool in moments of intense stress but, ultimately, he is cruel and is working for the bad guys, even if there is still a bit of good in him that keeps wanting to pop out! For how good of a character Haytham is, he had to be this high on our list!

Al Mualim Assassins Creed

Finally, at number 1 is Al Mualim in Assassin’s Creed!

This series is no stranger to betrayals, however, to be betrayed by the leader of the assassins is on a whole other level! Like many villains on this list, Al Mualim was blinded by power (specifically the one coming from the apple of Eden) so, he eventually becomes corrupt and, yeah, you know the rest. Overall, we were just a pawn on Al Mualim’s game and, he definitely got what he deserved in the end.

Outro:

There are a lot of main and side villains in this series, with stories of cruelty, betrayal and hunger for power but, with so many entries, it would be impossible to fit them all in one list!
